Personal Profile
Cain McDonald is the founder of Sapientia, a consultancy focused on providing professional supervision, leadership development, and strategic guidance to leaders across the education and business sectors.
In 2024, Cain trained as a Professional Supervisor through the University of Divinity, further deepening his capacity to support individuals navigating complex professional environments. He is dedicated primarily to offering high-quality, reflective supervision to leaders seeking clarity, resilience, and growth.

In addition to his consultancy work, Cain serves full-time in the South Australian public service, including holding a specialist appointment as a Negotiator—bringing expertise in high-stakes communication and conflict resolution.

Cain’s leadership background includes nearly 15 years as a school principal and significant governance experience. He is the current Board Chair of Tatachilla Lutheran College, Deputy Chair of the Board of the Association of Independent Schools of South Australia, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

With a career spanning education, public service, and executive advisory work, Cain is committed to cultivating wise, resilient, and values-driven leadership in complex and demanding contexts.
